The locations of each component are very simple. no feature on yellow PCB. impressive component is strong thermal epoxy between chip and cooler. samsung's 6ns memory posintioned on PCB. but they don't support TV-out or TWIN-VIEW. support only D-SUB. i have nothing to say about layout

This product is only for user don't need additional feature. that's why composition is simple.

After removing clooer, KYRO chip showed. to explain Specification of KYRO i made a table as follow. Compared object is GeForce2 MX.

Specification of KYRO is lower than nVIDIA's value chipset, GeForce2 MX's. nobody can expect KYRO's performance will be better than GeForce2 MX. but ATI's RADEON that lower than GeForce2 MX on specification show the powerful performance compared to GeForce2 MX in some part.

also. not shown on the above table. KYRO's core and memory clock are same 115MHz. it's a low memory frequency even though adapted samsung's 6ns memory. it's a lowest memory frequency among peripherals announced in 2000. you can imagine it can be overclocked because memory's frequency is very low.but core frequency must be synchronized with memory frequency. core clock also overclocked when you overclcoked only memory. chip emit high storm of heat when overclocked core or memory. so i abandon to do overclock

You need to pay attention to Z-buffer tile render structure. this technology is similar with voodoo 4's VSA-100's HSR. nobody can ignore STM's technology power as a they applied this technology to their first card.

Tile Render means calculating only visible things. 3D including X, Y, Z. generally nobody can watch thing that Z calculated. Z is only tools that measure an interval. normally 3D graphic card that not support Tile Render has calculated Z. because of this problem. the graphic cards are used to waste a memory and bandwidth. KYRO will show better performance than GeForce2 MX if this technology properly applied

another attention is supporting Environment Bump Mapping. i pointed out last ATI RADEON's review. the graphic cards that support Environment Bump Mapping are only matrox G400/450 and RADEON series. but we should add KYRO in the list. KYRO also support Environment Bump Mapping.

Supporting Environment Bump Mapping doesn't mean all of 3D. but i have confidence that the graphic card support Environment Bump Mapping will be produced a lot and game aldo support.

there are some fault. it 's a heat. KYRO runs just 115MHz but it emits a lot of heat. i decribed above, i can't do overclocked because of storm of heat. second fault is depending on CPU. it 's why KYRO does not support T&L. if you have powerful CPU(at least Athlon 1GHz) KYRO show you satifactory performance
